This is for you if you are new or not so new to mindfulness and find it hard to prioritise or don’t have the time to dedicate to lengthy practices but still want to enjoy all the benefits Mindfulness has to offer.

Why? Because what you do regularly matters more than what you do every once in a while.
There are so many benefits to mindfulness, all of which have been widely reported. They range from helping people deal with depression to aiding recovery after illness. There have been many books and articles written on the subject and lots of scientific research that you can read.
I can’t honestly promise what mindfulness will do for you. Different people experience different benefits at different time, but what I have seen and heard are a number of results. I’ve seen people become happier in their own skin which is incredible to witness. Gone is the incessant negative internal dialogue and instead there is a peacefulness, patience and calm.
I’ve seen other people become more confident and resilient due to knowing they have tools for dealing with life. I’ve also witnessed and personally experienced the relief when things no longer bother, the triggers are gone, leaving space to respond to situations and not react. And I’ve also seen people become more productive and focused at work. Then others tell me that it helps them to sleep and plenty of people use it to help with emotional eating.
So you see, there are so many benefits and I don’t honestly know what you will experience, maybe it will be the above or maybe it will be more. All I do know is that with regular practice you will see benefits and I’ve added in reflection points to Everyday Mindfulness to help you to see what it’s doing for you.
I have read, studied and practiced mindfulness for the past 15 years. During that time I have trained with some of the leading experts, gone on retreats all over the world and held some of my own. I have also worked teaching 8 week mindfulness courses in the community, in companies and as 1:1’s.
I am passionate about mindfulness as I can honestly say that it has changed my life! I know that can sound very OTT at times and it wasn’t this sudden flash of light that came down and I was enlightened. Sitting lotus position, emanating love (wouldn’t that be wonderful!) No, it was over time and with patience and commitment I found that old behaviours that didn’t serve me well melted away, negative beliefs no longer held me captive and I wasn’t a victim of my emotions (finally!)
The changes were incremental and yet they were very obvious once I became aware of them. I actually began to feel more comfortable within myself which I never thought possible having suffered with depression for most of my life. With that everything changed for the better.
Let me make mindfulness easy, convenient and do-able for you
I have been teaching mindfulness for many years now and I saw people feeling a little sad and confused at the end of a course. They loved the regularity of meeting every week, having somewhere to go and practicing as a group. They weren’t too optimistic about keeping a regular practice going.
Then COVID 19 gave me the space to create and design a course that supports people to build their own practice whatever that looks like for them.
I wanted Mindfulness to be easy, accessible and convenient so that even the idea of doing a practice is easy rather than the heavy feeling of “how am I going to do 20 minutes!” or “I don’t have time……”
That’s why every meditation will be no more than 10 minutes long. No video will be more than 10 minutes long and neither will be any audio. We will start with the foundations and from there we will cover many of the different principles like compassion, acceptance and the power of now among others. All in bite sized pieces (no lengthy handouts)
As we go I will share with you my little “everything I’ve ever done that works” insights, stories and more.
In this way my intention is to teach you a skill that you will use for the rest of your life.
